Krakow

Old Town in Krakow is home to thousands of historic sites and millions of works of art that put it into the Unesco world heritage site. Standing on the hill Wawel, Wawel Castle there is a royal castle and cathedral with gothic architecture. Other tourist attractions are the Wieliczka Salt Mine, which was built in the salt mines of the 13th century and is located thousands of meters underground. Not many people know the city also has a tragic historic sites, one of which was Auschwitz, the Nazi concentration camps built during World War II.
