Ponte Vecchio, Florence

Executive summary by Darmansjah

The most famous bridge in Florence does have its own charm. But in addition to shops and views of the River Arno, Ponte Vecchio has a secret that not many people know. On the floor there is only Corridoio Vasariano or Vasari Corridor, built in 1564 as a special line which connects the Palazzo Pitti with the Uffizi Medici family residence where they located.

In the private line nearly two miles along the red carpet decorated with this you will see more than 1000 paintings made in 17th and 18th centuries and of course the spectacular views of the city of Florence.

No wonder the famous figures such as Hitler and Chagal fascinated with the uniqueness of the corridor that has been closed for centuries.
